Harmony in Healing: Beyond the Diagnosis
-
The purpose of this group is to allow younger individuals struggling with chronic health conditions to connect with one another in a safe, non-judgmental space so that they feel less alone. This group in the past has allowed for points of connection among group members. It is also to help those struggling with chronic illnesses manage both symptoms and emotions related to symptoms in their daily lives, and to discover how to live as fully and completely as possible while living with a chronic health condition. This group’s facilitator is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) who also has experience as a chronic illness patient.

You might be a good fit for this group if you are either a millennial or Gen Zer with a chronic health condition (even if you do not have a formal diagnosis; we know the medical system sucks), if you are struggling to manage your illness or connect with others your age due to them not fully understanding your situation or condition, or if you are craving connection with others who better understand. Diagnoses might include autoimmune diseases, PCOS/PMOS, POTS, cancer treatment or recovery, and fibromyalgia.
